Tips on Gaining Weight |
|
|
Right now, I am 132 pounds, 5'9, and trying to gain at least 20-30 pounds at this point in time. I've run out of ideas, I keep eating and eating, but I don't gain a single pound. Any ideas on how I can gain this weight? _________________ http://www.myspace.com/skelly

no, seriously, check with your doctor, or a doctor, try pastas, steaks, etc,, or both together, also this could depend on your age, i presume it is for sport and you are 15 or so, but _________________ BB . 55229 . 130295 . 13611 . 8358 . 856 (SBD Community)

It's quite possible its your metabolism.
I'm 5'10" and 65kg (about 145 pounds). About 6 months ago (before footie season I wanted to put on about 5-10kg.
I put on 5 but that was all just my natural growth. I eat lots of food, exercise regularly, but even when I was out injured for 2 months, I still don't put on weight due to my metabolism. You may well be the same.
My knowledge: Protein is good for building up muscle bulk, which is heavier (and healthier) than fat.

Try Marine Corps boot camp!!!
I went from 5'11" 127lbs to 5'11" 155lbs when I completed boot camp.
I still remember the Series Commanders first hygiene inspection he told me to go back for seconds at the chow hall whenever I could.

Put a few years under your belt. You'll gain more weight than you'll know what to do with when you get a little older. Wait with anticipation for these glorious "chubby years".
You can try those weight gaining protein mixes they sell at gyms or at a nutritional center. They are not cheap though. |

#1 tip for gaining weight as you wish is to have a burning schedule to go with it.
Freind of mine is one of Canada's top female body builders, she eats 10 meals a day, and eats a LARGE pep. Pizza every night, just so she has something to build with (and burn off in the morning).
Muscle is heavier than fat, and looks better _________________ "Chairman Mao has never seen a greater show of red strength." Bill Shankly

Eating before you go to sleep is a good way to build up empty fat cells that can easily turn into muscle. Eat foods high in fat, but not saturated fat. |

from personal experience, defenitely go with working out and intake of protein. This past summer i went from 5'7 155 to 5'8 185 by working out three times a week and digesting over 80 grams of protein almost every day. _________________ 92000 |

Workout & Wal-Mart |
|
|
I gained a solid 15 pounds of muscle in two months. Granted I grew about 2 inches. I like to think it was my training regimen. I ate all I wanted worked out 6 days a week and took protein powder, such as whey. I bought all my stuff at Wal-Mart for half the price of the stuff at GNC.
P.S.-They have this new stuff out called Muscle Milk its expensive but works like a friggen miracle. _________________ Why do some people do stupid stuff? |
