Diggler, you are right. Anybody that quits is doing so prematurely. I think this game has a great chance of surviving the loss of the forums. A good enough chance for me to stick with it until the end. The game isn't closing down unless we all abandon it with the loss of this forum. Why is this forum so important? |

It's all the great people here that makes the forums important. I've made a lot of friends here that I've never met face to face but I still consider them friends. _________________

Well put. I would have left smallball years ago and not come back if it wasn't for the support of experienced trainers and the interesting dialogues of so many. For me the forums are an integral part of the game that enhance the game's appeal. _________________ MidgMen

its posts like these that makes me want to hang around, my goodbye was because i was involved in another game that crashed and burned, and left me high and dry.
plus i have so much going on, i will always do my best to keep up, but some things have to come first
(and my wife thinks waiting to get a team in pl1 before buying a house is just not on, and she is the bed queen, she rules _________________ BB . 55229 . 130295 . 13611 . 8358 . 856 (SBD Community)

Digg, with an id number like that being around so u should know better, but im not here to scold. But anyway, to answer your question, the forums are key to the game's survival as theyre a universal convening place, in addition to a place to advertise numerous tournaments and events, and to even speak your mind. Think about the type of game SB would be w/o the main forums. IMO, it would not be much of an interesting game (not to say I wouldnt play it), but still, the older owners here will probably get what im sayin. _________________ U of Hartford Hawks ID:220765

why dont we all just decide which forum to use as the main forum for smallball. Everyone can register there or whatever and same ppl will post and continue just as this forum was, except it wont be called SMALLBALL it will be whatever......just an idea _________________ YOu know my name. ? The part I don't seem to understand is why people don't want to see who actually abandoned the game.
EARTH.....to whoever doesn't understand!
Commish and Andnow have left the game on auto-pilot with no customer service. If you have an issue with a team ID, your on your own.......if you have an issue with tickets, your on your own.........if you have an issue with someone cheating in a pl league.....you deal with it on your own.
Sure....you can still play and take chances on getting tickets, and having paypal take care of the non received tickets. But this is the mother ship, and without it smallball would have been gone along time ago even when commish and andnow was around.
So think about it......... not with a blinded immature faith, but with a reality check. No mother ship.......no commish.......no customer service.
Can there actually be anyone thats not smelling the coffee?
Great game, great community, great sites. But with no one at the helm, its only a matter of time..........thats a fact that cannot be ignored. |
