Just wanted to put this cheeser on blast. He has played me well over 10 times in the last 2 seasons beating me every single time. I dont mind losing, but I think it is sad when an 8* team has to pad it's record with victories over 7* teams. So here is his M.O. He'll play a 7* lose, and never play that team again. But if he wins....He'll play that team over and over and over again padding his record all the while.

It's all good though, 559058 is stuck in Jr. Pro league Purgatory and I will continue to train my team to 10* so I dont get stuck in the JR league when I do get in.

So keep on challenging my team "Lazy Lil Loafs" and whatever your 2nd team is as well...what goes around comes around.

Use it to you advantage. Train harder and beat the snot out of them. Once you start beating them, they will go away.

Bigdog gives the right advise. When my teams were 6 or 7 star, I had many teams that would regularly give my teams a pounding. I am glad they did because it raised my competitive spirit to a level that I was determined to be better. Without getting the snot beaten out of me I would have lost interest and stopped playing a long time ago. What makes Smallball great is that it is hard to master, takes patients and a great deal of determination. When your team gets better, remember that revenge is a dish best served cold.

Well said...their are a couple of teams that challenge me once or twice a season like Tigers (LSU), Tigres de Licey, and a couple more that I lose to...but I respect it, I look forward to being challenged by them and if I lose, I lose, but this cheeser clearly has a better team (right now) and he challenges me 3,4,5 times a day all in a row. It's all good..I'll have my revenge.

If you want to have fun, create a new team and play his team with your new 1* team over and over.

Wow, I wish I could find my old post about something like this.

It drove me to work my teams butt off and get better. When I first started there was this team that would play me over and over. Every morning when I woke up I would see I lost 4 or 5 games to this team. It became annoying and I started working on the weaknesses that made me lose those games.

In a short time I woke up and he had challenged me 5 times the night before. I won 1 for the first time. The next morning I had won 2. A few mornings later I woke up and had beat him all 3 times he had played me.

He never again played me afterwards.

I could hate him for picking on my little team when I had just started, and it was disheartning to say the very least, but he did become a great good. He made me want to be better and got me hooked on this game because I wanted to beat the person that was picking on me.

I beat him for sure. He still sticks around playing... I think... in PL9 and PL8 every so often. And me, the guy he picked on and made want to get better. Well I have been to PL1 and won 8 games. Sure it is not great to get sent back to PL2. But I made it to PL1 and no matter what anyone says and with all the great advice I was given, the best thing that ever happened to me in smallball to make me want to be better was having some jerk beat up on me. Because in the end, not only did I win those three games that night, I won that battle, I made it to PL1 and he is stuck in PL8. I won the war all thanks to him.

Let them play you and let them beat you. It will only make you better, because if nothing else, it gives you a good benchmark to rate your team.

SBK,

I understand your message about MikeRo using this experience as motivation to improve his team. It's good advice. But don't forget the perp in this. He also need to get the message. Playing teams under you and winning is next to meaningless. The only way to judge how good your team is, is by playing teams equal to or higher ranked than your own. He is probably fairly new to SmallBall and just doesn't get it yet. If he sticks around long enough he will eventually. By playing teams equal or better than your own you can find areas you are weak in and need to improve.
So even MikeRo can learn something by watching the games this person is playing against him. Wink

I dont think he cares about stats, he just wants to win as many games as possible to be on the top 100 list

It it at all that important to be on the top 100 list?

I know if any of my teams make that list it's usually because I did something right with them somehow but usually by the end of the season they end up around .500
