I don't understand how you guys are actually going to judge whether he is a "wuss" or not by a DWI? _________________ www.maddenuniverse.com

Yeah JJ is an absolute idiot for doing this to himself. But hey, at least this is just one more thing to make Duke University look a little bit worse this year. That makes me smile inside.
But what I think people are trying to say about him being a "wuss" is that although drinking and driving is in no way a good thing, it shows that JJ isn't a little goodie goodie that does everything perfectly....he can actually break the law.
All that being said, where's the mug shot _________________

For all of you making fun of him. I'm sure he is able to beat the p*ss out of ALL of you.
He was not that much over the legal limit as it is, he knows what he did was wrong. I doubt that it effects his draft results very much. I would take talent over 1 mistake a player made in his 4 years at college. The mistake was also in the offseason, not when it counted the most in the season. _________________ 131351 Cats.n.Hats|Nationals |

A great point.
I wasn't going to get into this, but now that Snyder said this, I'm ready to go. You guys all get up on him because he's caught .03 over the BAC level. Come on! This is the only time we've heard his name in the paper unless it had something to do with smoking the opponents. Give the guy a break, he'll still go high 1st round. _________________ Founder of the SBPA

To me, this doesn't show that he made one little mistake and now he's gonna be alright. This shows that he is an IDIOT. He knows that in a few weeks, he'll be making millions of dollars. Most high draft picks even get money from their agents months before the draft takes place. All he has to do is call a cab, or even a limo, to bring him home. Paying $20 for a cab ride home is a whole lot better than the insults and bad press he's gotten nationwide. Just a stupid, stupid move. _________________

exactley. he had a good clean 4 years at Duke and throws it down the drain. I agree that he will still be a first round pick but i want to see wat he does with the pressure of this situation. _________________ "NOT GOING DOWN UNTIL THE SHIP GOES DOWN!"

Don't know where GC is but as his apprentice I'll do this one.
I should be pretty simple.
"I doubt that he was doing it at Duke. I have no way of knowing that but I'll give him that because as a basketball star, the consequenses would be too great while in school and under NCAA scrutiny. He probably attended a party celebrating his draft and thought he could do whatever he wanted now that he is a celebrity _________________ Waiting for a good quote |

Sure, he could beat the p*ss out of me. Does that make him a better person?
It wasn't one mistake. I bet he drank and drove at least a few times before he got caught. Plus, he tried to get away. For those that didnt know, he did an illegal u-turn to try to avoid the sobriety checkpoint. If he was barely over the limit, he could have gotten through without being checked, as most cars do. The u-turn blew that chance for him. Try make yourself look a little more guilty next time, JJ. |
